The plot of Mel Karade Rabba revolves around Rajveer (Jimmy Shergill), a university boy who is a self-styled cool dude who can't help acting rude around the college girls. He is smitten by Seerat (Neeru Bajwa), a beautiful and intelligent girl who is the daughter of a rich and influential businessman. Rajveer tries to woo Seerat with his charm and wit, but she is not impressed by his antics. She is already engaged to Nihaal (Gippy Grewal), a handsome and well-mannered boy who is Rajveer's arch-rival. Nihaal loves Seerat sincerely and respects her wishes. He also has the support of Seerat's family and friends.

However, things take a dramatic turn when Rajveer discovers that Seerat is actually his childhood friend who he had lost contact with. He realizes that he has always loved her and decides to win her back at any cost.
