For .mp4 files (which I obtained from DailyMotion.com: a 50 minute tv episode, downloadable only in three parts, as three .mp4 video files) the following was an effective solution for Windows 7, and does NOT involve re-encoding the files.

The batch file, and ffmpeg.exe, must both be put in the same folder as the .mp4 files to be joined. Then run the batch file. It will typically take less than ten seconds to run..


...it is because "ffmpeg does not support PCM (pcm_alaw, pcm_s16le, etc) in the MP4 container." See here: codec not currently supported in container and here. So, run time ffmpeg -f concat -safe 0 -i inputs.txt -c:v copy -c:a aac output.mp4 instead, to re-encode the audio into AAC format. Or, run time ffmpeg -f concat -safe 0 -i inputs.txt -c copy output.mkv to write into a .mkv container instead of into a .mp4 container.


As a result of the Scalable Video Coding (SVC) extension, the standard contains five additional scalable profiles, which are defined as a combination of a H.264/AVC profile for the base layer (identified by the second word in the scalable profile name) and tools that achieve the scalable extension:


This method is generally used if you are targeting a specific output file size and output quality from frame to frame is of less importance. This is best explained with an example. Your video is 10 minutes (600 seconds) long and an output of 200 MiB is desired. Since bitrate = file size / duration:


The absolute minimum frame rate that a video can be before its contents are no longer perceived as motion by the human eye is about 12 frames per second. Less than that, and the video becomes a series of still images. Motion picture film is typically 24 frames per second, while standard definition television is about 30 frames per second (slightly less, but close enough) and high definition television is between 24 and 60 frames per second. Anything from 24 FPS upward will generally be seen as satisfactorily smooth; 30 or 60 FPS is an ideal target, depending on your needs.


You almost certainly don't want to use this format, since it isn't supported in a meaningful way by any major browsers, and is quite obsolete. Files of this type should have the extension .mp4v, but sometimes are inaccurately labeled .mp4.


If you are only able to offer a single version of each video, you can choose the format that's most appropriate for your needs. The first one is recommended as being a good combination of quality, performance, and compatibility. The second option will be the most broadly compatible choice, at the expense of some amount of quality, performance, and/or size.


Facebook in-stream video ads are different from regular feed ads as they only last 5 to 15 seconds. According to CPC Strategy, the average on-target rate is nearly 90% and have a completion view rate of 70%. The quick, digestible videos are perfect for brands trying to catch the attention of users with small interactions.


That one is to make a slide show video of images that are to be shown at 1 image per second in an .mp4 output video that plays at 30 fps.sequence001.jpg, sequence002.jpg, etc is the input image sequence.


With exiftool you have to set the DateTimeOriginal so that Piwigo will use it. You can get exiftool to take that info from CreateDate. Some of my videos have DateTimeOriginal, but not all. It depends on the device I have used to record the videos. All of my videos have CreateDate.What I have done is take a .jpg from the videos with avconv, take all exif data from the video with exiftool and put it in the jpg file. Then I update the exif data on the jpg file, CreateDate field to DateTimeOriginal. The command bellow does that. In the beginning the command makes the pwg_representative directory, if it is not there all ready. I'm running it on ubuntu linux. If you have ffmpeg installed and not avconv, just replace the avconv with ffmpeg. Should work. Run the command IN THE DIRECTORY WHERE THE VIDEOS ARE. I just googled a lot and came up with following command. I'm not a superuser, I barely understand the commands. By adjusting the standard television frame rate, the dots would no longer display in the same place on the screen each second. The dots were far less noticeable when they were moving around. For this reason, the standard broadcast frame rate in the United States is approximately 29.97 fps (technically 30,000/1,001), just slightly fewer than the commonly used 30 fps.


Video playback that is slightly too slow or too fast is usually imperceptible, except when synchronizing audio. If a video is two hours long and was recorded at 30 fps, the video contains 216,000 static images. If that video is played back at 29.97 fps, it will be two hours and 7.2 seconds long. By the end, the audio will be 7.2 seconds behind the video, which would obviously be very noticeable.


Another way of looking at it is by counting the number of frames for a certain video length. For example, a 33.333(repeating)-second video at 30 fps will have 1,000 frames, while the same video duration at 29.97 fps would only have 999 frames.


This effect is also seen in the difference between 30,000/1,001 fps and 29.97 fps, although it requires a much longer video. For a video that is 33,366.666(repeating) seconds long (over 9 hours), a 30,000/1001 fps video would contain 999,999 frames, while a 29.97 fps video would contain only 999,998 frames.


The demo video will be an .mp4 video filmed using a GoPro Fusion with GPS enabled shot at 5.2K and the final file encoded using H.264 at 4K at 30 FPS using GoPro Fusion Studio (no Protune). The file size is 86.2MB and runs for 16 seconds.


Disadvantages: You need to have a fallback plan or at least be prepared in case the second channel does not work. As you are conducting the interview yourself, you cannot take care of technical facilitation details while you are interviewing. Therefore, I strongly recommend that client & interpreter exchange contact data (e-mail, phone number) so that they can quickly reconnect in case the default second channel breaks down.


When recording your interview with Zoom, you receive a video file with audio track and another .mp4 file with just the audio recording. You can send the audio file to your interpreter and have them record a new audio file in the language needed. Or again, you ask your interpreter to dial into the call and create an audio file in real-time (that even works with the dictation function in your smartphone.
